Tooth Bleaching and Whitening

Special trays are made to fit over the teeth. A bleach material is then placed into these trays which are worn over the teeth for two weeks. The teeth usually dramatically lighten in colour by several shades. There are also several techniques to lighten teeth that have become dark due to root fillings.

Ceramic Crowns

Modern crowns can now be constructed made entirely of hard ceramic with no underlying metal. This gives a more natural appearance to the tooth with no ‘black margin’ showing.

Veneers

These are thin facings made from either porcelain or composite that are bonded to the natural tooth in order to change their appearance.

Cosmetic Bonding / Veneers

‘Composite’ white filling material is bonded to the tooth to reshape it or change its size. Sometimes it is useful to close a gap between teeth also.

Implant Restoration

Implants are titanium fixtures that are inserted under the gums in the jaw bone. They form a strong union to the underlying bone and hence are ‘fixed’. Attached to the implants are crowns or bridges or dentures. They are very successful and are a popular way to replace missing teeth.

Dentures

Dentures are provided to patients to replace missing teeth in the mouth. They can be constructed of acrylic or light weight metal.

Bridges

Bridges are provided to replace a gap or gaps between teeth. They are fixed to teeth adjacent to the gap so they do not have to be removed.

Crowns

Protect weak teeth from fracturing. Crowning is often required on back tweets that have boot been root filled as they are generally weaker teeth.

Root Fillings

Cleaning and filling the nerve space in the roots of teeth if the nerve ‘dies’ or has decay from within thus ensuring the nerve doesn’t get infected further.

Fillings

White fillings and standard restorations of tooth cavities.

Fresh Breath Advice

Banish bad breath at Booterstown Dental Practice. Our team of dentists and hygienists work together to treat your halitosis, identify the causes and remove the problem.

We’ll look at your diet and your oral hygiene habits. We’ll carry out a full examination of the potential causes in your mouth and throat. If appropriate we’ll liaise with medical colleagues to investigate potential causes in your respiratory and gastrointestinal systems and beyond.

Treatments can involve the total detoxification of your mouth. We treat all potential causes in or on the teeth, gums and tongue. We will then show you some innovative ways for you to maintain a thoroughly clean mouth at home with oral hygiene tools, toothpastes and mouthwashes specifically designed to treat halitosis. There is no need for you to suffer from this socially debilitating condition any longer.

Invisalign

Your Invisalign treatment consists of a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that you change every two weeks for the next set of aligners. Each aligner is individually manufactured for your teeth, and your teeth only. As you replace each aligner, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to the final position prescribed by your dental practitioner.

What’s more, a virtual 3D treatment plan (ClinCheck© treatment plan) shows the series of movements your teeth will go through over the course of the treatment. This allows you to see upfront what your teeth are expected to look like at the end of the treatment. From the results of the ClinCheck treatment plan, your custom-made, clear aligners are produced especially for you.

If you’re ready for a smile that transforms your appearance, Invisalign is your answer. Although there are many choices out there, no other treatment works as comfortably as Invisalign.

Invisalign is the best way to transform your smile without interfering with your day-to-day life.
